Organization settings vs Brand settings
BrandOps has two settings pages, not one, and it trips people up more than anything else in the app. Organization holds what's shared across your whole workspace: name, admins, billing. Settings holds what belongs to one brand: its kit, its team, its integrations.
This guide is the disambiguation: what lives where, and why.
Why two settings pages
BrandOps is built so one organization can hold multiple brands (that's the whole point of the Agency plan). Some configuration has to be shared no matter which brand you're looking at; some has to be specific to one. Splitting the settings surface in two is how that separation stays clean.
- Organization (/dashboard/organization): shared across every brand in your workspace. Covers Workspace, org-wide Team (Organization Admins), Billing, and Suppression.
- Settings (/dashboard/settings): scoped to whichever brand you currently have selected. Covers Brand (Brand Kit + Business Type), Team (that brand's own members), and Integrations.
- Switch brands with the brand switcher and Settings follows you to the new brand's data. Organization stays exactly the same, because it isn't brand-specific.
- If you only ever run one brand, the difference rarely matters. But the moment you add a second brand on Agency, knowing which page controls what becomes important fast.
What lives at the Organization level
Everything on /dashboard/organization applies to the whole workspace, not any one brand.
- Workspace tab: your organization name (shown across the workspace and in team emails) and a read-only workspace slug, plus a summary of your current plan and its price.
- Team tab: labelled "Organization Admins" in the UI. Lists everyone with the org-wide Owner or Admin role, who get automatic access to every brand plus billing.
- Billing tab: your plan, subscription status, trial countdown, and the plan picker or cancel option. One subscription, one bill, covering every brand under the organization.
- Suppression tab: email addresses blocked from every future send after a hard bounce or spam complaint, applied organization-wide across all your brands' outreach and campaigns.
What lives at the Brand level
Everything on /dashboard/settings is scoped to the brand you currently have active, and changes when you switch brands.
- Brand tab: Business Type (Ecommerce, Consulting/Freelance, Subscription, etc.) and the Brand Kit, including logo, logomark, colors, fonts, tone of voice, writing dos/don'ts, and caption examples used for AI captions and creator briefs.
- Team tab: this brand's own team members, plus a read-only list of org Owners/Admins who already have implicit access. See the Team & Roles guide for the full breakdown.
- Integrations tab, covering this brand's connected accounts: social platform OAuth connections, and for Ecommerce brands, the Shopify store URL and webhook secret.
- None of this carries over automatically to a second brand. A new brand starts with its own empty Brand Kit and its own integrations to connect.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are there two settings pages in BrandOps?
Because one organization can contain more than one brand (Agency plan). Anything that's true no matter which brand you're looking at (your workspace name, who has org-wide admin access, your plan and billing) lives at Organization. Anything specific to a single brand (its Brand Kit, its own team, its connected integrations) lives at Settings, and switches when you switch brands.
Where do I change my company or workspace name?
Organization → Workspace tab. That's the organization name shown across your whole workspace and in emails to your team. It's separate from any individual brand's name.
What's the workspace slug and can I change it?
It's shown read-only on Organization → Workspace, with a copy button next to it. It's used internally and can't be changed after setup.
Where do I update my brand's logo, colors, and tone of voice?
Settings → Brand tab, inside the Brand Kit. This is per-brand: logo, colors, fonts, tone adjectives, writing dos and don'ts, and caption examples are all scoped to whichever brand you currently have selected.
Where do I set my business type (Ecommerce, Consulting, Subscription)?
Settings → Brand tab, above the Brand Kit. Business Type is also per-brand, since one organization on Agency could run an ecommerce brand and a consulting brand side by side, each needing its own sidebar modules.
Where do I connect social accounts or Shopify?
Settings → Integrations tab. Connections are per-brand, so each brand authorizes and manages its own social accounts, OAuth tokens, and store connection separately.
Where do I see or change my plan and payment details?
Organization → Billing tab. Billing is organization-wide: one subscription covers every brand under that organization, and there's no separate bill per brand.
