Connecting your accounts
You don't have to connect anything to use BrandOps — every core feature (orders, tasks, creator CRM, content pipeline) works without connecting a single account. These connections are for pulling in data that already lives elsewhere, so you stop checking four different dashboards every morning.
Every one of these lives in Settings → Integrations, and every one can be disconnected any time from the same place.
One connection covers four things: YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics 4, Search Console, and Google Ads. Sign in once and all four start flowing in wherever they're relevant across BrandOps.
Before you connect
- 1Have a Google Analytics 4 property set up for your website — check Admin → Data Streams in Google Analytics. If you only ever set up the old Universal Analytics, you'll need to create a GA4 property first (Universal Analytics data can't be read by this connection).
- 2Verify your website in Google Search Console (Search Console → Add Property), under the same Google account you're about to connect.
- 3If you want YouTube stats, make sure that channel is managed by the same Google account.
- 4If you want Google Ads, have your Ads Customer ID ready — the 10-digit number shown top-right when you're logged into Google Ads.
- 5Use the account that actually has access to all of the above — a personal Gmail won't pull in anything if your properties are owned by your company's Google Workspace account instead.
What you get
- You'll see a Google permission screen listing YouTube, Analytics, Search Console, and Ads — approve all of it in one go, there's no way to grant partial access.
- For Google Ads specifically, there's one extra step after connecting: paste in your Ads Customer ID so BrandOps knows which ad account to pull from.
- Nothing is ever posted or changed on your Google properties — every one of these is read access only, except YouTube where you can optionally upload/manage videos if you choose to use that.
- Once connected, this is what powers the Content Analytics tab's YouTube numbers, the Ads tab, and Search Console data in Website Intelligence.
This is your brand's own Instagram account — connect it and DMs, publishing, and performance stats all become available right inside BrandOps.
Before you connect
- 1Open the Instagram app → your profile → menu (☰) → Settings and privacy → Account type and tools, and switch to a Professional account if it isn't one already.
- 2When prompted to choose a category, pick Business (not Creator) — Business accounts get the messaging-API access level BrandOps' DM inbox needs; Creator accounts have a more limited tier for this specific feature.
- 3The same setup flow will prompt you to connect a Facebook Page — select an existing Page your business owns, or create one if you don't have one yet.
- 4Double-check the link actually saved: in Meta Business Suite (business.facebook.com), your Page should show the Instagram account under its settings.
What you get
- When you click Connect Instagram in BrandOps, you'll sign in with the Facebook account that manages that Page — not necessarily your Instagram password.
- Once connected: every DM your account receives shows up in the Instagram DMs inbox automatically, and you can reply from inside BrandOps without opening the Instagram app.
- Performance stats (reach, engagement, views per post) sync automatically once a day at 9 AM IST — no need to refresh manually.
- This connection is separate from Creator Insights below — connecting your own account here doesn't give you the ability to look up other creators; that's the next section.
Creator Insights
A separate, second connection — used to look up any creator's public Instagram stats from the Creator CRM before you reach out to them, not to manage your own account.
Before you connect
- 1You need to be an admin of at least one Facebook Page — it doesn't have to be your brand's main Page, any Page you administer qualifies.
- 2That Page needs some Instagram Business/Creator account linked to it — again, not necessarily your brand's own account. If you already set up your brand's Instagram connection above, that same Page already qualifies and there's nothing extra to do here.
- 3If you don't administer any Page at all yet, create one (any name, any category) in Meta Business Suite and link any Instagram Business account to it — this is purely to unlock the lookup permission, the Page itself doesn't need to be used for anything.
What you get
- Once connected, open any creator's profile in the Creator CRM and BrandOps can pull their follower count, bio, and basic public stats by handle — useful for vetting before you send an outreach message.
- Only works on public Business or Creator Instagram accounts — a private personal account won't return anything, since it's reading the same public data anyone visiting that profile could see.
- This is read-only and has nothing to do with your own account's DMs or posts — it exists purely to save you from manually checking follower counts one creator at a time.
Twitter / X
Connect your Twitter/X account to see tweet impressions and engagement alongside your Instagram and YouTube numbers, instead of checking a separate app.
Before you connect
- 1Nothing to prepare — no special account type required, just an existing Twitter/X account you can sign into.
What you get
- Read-only — BrandOps never tweets on your behalf.
- Once connected, tweet-level impressions and engagement show up in Content Analytics next to your other platforms.
Shopify
Connect your Shopify store and every order placed there flows straight into Order Operations — nothing to enter by hand, no separate spreadsheet to keep in sync.
Before you connect
- 1Have an active Shopify store and the Shopify Admin login you use to manage it.
- 2Know your store's myshopify.com domain (visible in the browser address bar while you're in Shopify Admin, or under Settings → Domains).
- 3Have permission to edit Settings → Notifications in Shopify Admin — the store owner has this by default; staff accounts need the "Manage settings" permission.
What you get
- Setup is two steps: paste your store URL and a webhook signing secret into BrandOps (Settings → Integrations), then add the webhook endpoint BrandOps gives you into Shopify Admin under Settings → Notifications → Webhooks.
- Register the endpoint against the orders/create and orders/updated topics in Shopify — those are the two events BrandOps listens for.
- Once set up, new orders and status changes (fulfilled, cancelled, refunded) appear in Order Operations automatically, usually within seconds of happening in Shopify.
- This is one-way — Shopify pushes order data to BrandOps. BrandOps never creates, edits, or cancels orders back in your Shopify store.
Common questions
Do I need to connect everything to use BrandOps?
No. Orders, tasks, the creator CRM, and the content pipeline all work with zero connections. These integrations exist to pull in data that already lives on Google/Instagram/Twitter — connect only the ones you'll actually use.
Is my data safe? What can BrandOps actually do with these accounts?
Every connection here except YouTube's optional upload permission is read-only — BrandOps reads your existing data, it doesn't post, tweet, or change anything on your behalf unless you're explicitly using a feature designed to do that (like replying to an Instagram DM, which is the whole point of connecting Instagram).
Can I disconnect an account later?
Yes, any time, from Settings → Integrations. Disconnecting stops new data from syncing in; anything already pulled in stays in your BrandOps history.
I connected Instagram but my Business account isn't showing up as an option.
Two common causes: the account is set to Personal instead of Business/Creator (check the Instagram app's account settings), or it isn't linked to a Facebook Page yet. Link it in Meta Business Suite first, then reconnect.
What's the difference between connecting Instagram and Creator Insights?
Connecting Instagram is about YOUR account — DMs and publishing. Creator Insights is a separate connection used only to look up OTHER creators' public stats from the Creator CRM before you reach out. You can use either without the other.
Ready to connect your accounts?
Head to Settings → Integrations and connect whichever ones you'll use.
