The Daily Ops dashboard
Daily Ops is BrandOps's repeatable checklist, the small, unglamorous list of things that need to happen every single day to keep a brand running, grouped by area and seeded automatically from your business type.
This guide covers how task groups are structured, how daily and weekly resets work, and how to make the checklist your own.
Task groups
Daily Ops organizes tasks into colour-coded groups, seeded from a default set that matches your brand's business type the first time the page loads.
- Ecommerce defaults: Content, Influencer, Orders & Website, Amazon, Communication, plus a weekly Weekly Review group.
- SaaS defaults: Product & Content, Customer Success, Subscriptions, Communication, plus Weekly Review.
- Consulting and Freelance both default to the same set: Content & Marketing, Client Work, Pipeline & Invoicing, Communication, plus Weekly Review.
- Content/Media defaults: Content, Audience, Communication, plus Weekly Review.
- Other defaults to the shortest list: Content, Follow-ups, Communication, plus Weekly Review.
- Each task can carry an optional hint alongside its label. For example, "Prepare tomorrow's reel" hints "Texture · Result · Ingredient · Before/After · Customer feedback" as a prompt for what to actually cover.
Daily vs. weekly, and completion history
Every task belongs to either the daily cycle or the weekly one, and both are tracked separately.
- Daily tasks are keyed to today's date (calculated in IST) and reset each day. Checking one off only counts for that calendar day.
- Weekly tasks are keyed to the Monday of the current week, so a Weekly Review group only needs completing once every 7 days, not daily.
- The 7-day history strip counts only non-weekly (daily) tasks completed per day, so weekly items don't skew the daily completion picture.
- Every checked task stores who checked it and when, visible to the rest of your team.
Customizing your checklist
The business-type defaults are only a starting point. The config sheet lets you reshape Daily Ops around how your brand actually operates.
- Add, rename, reorder, or remove task groups and individual tasks.
- Mark any group as weekly instead of daily (or back), and assign it a colour.
- Changes apply per brand. If you run multiple brands in one organization, each one keeps its own Daily Ops configuration.
- None of this is destructive to past history: completion records already logged stay as they were, even if you later rename or remove the task that generated them.
Where it fits alongside your other tools
Daily Ops is the checklist layer. It sits next to, not on top of, the rest of BrandOps.
- It's separate from the main Dashboard: the Dashboard is a wide-angle view (KPIs, Brand Health, AI insights, follow-ups), while Daily Ops is a narrow, repeatable checklist meant to be worked through every single day.
- It's also unrelated to the Operations/Fulfillment page, which is a different, Ecommerce-only tool for managing individual orders, returns, and customer issues. Daily Ops just has a task reminding you to check on those.
- Both the Dashboard and Daily Ops stay reachable even during a locked billing state, so a lapsed trial or expired plan doesn't cut off your daily checklist.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Daily Ops page for?
It's a running checklist of the tasks a brand needs to do every day (and some weekly), grouped by area (content, influencer/client/subscriber work, orders, communication), so a founder can see at a glance what's been done today and what hasn't.
Where do the default checklist items come from?
The first time a brand opens Daily Ops, BrandOps auto-seeds its checklist from a default task list specific to that brand's business type. An Ecommerce brand gets Content, Influencer, Orders & Website, Amazon, and Communication groups, while a SaaS brand gets Product & Content, Customer Success, Subscriptions, and Communication instead.
Can I edit or add my own daily tasks?
Yes. The auto-seeded list is just a sensible starting point. Every group and task is fully editable per brand afterward through the config sheet, so it doesn't have to stay tied to the original business-type defaults.
What's the difference between a daily task and a weekly task?
Daily tasks reset every day and count toward that day's completion total. Weekly tasks (like the Weekly Review group) key off the Monday of the current week instead, so they only need doing once per week rather than every day.
Does Daily Ops show who checked off a task?
Yes. Each checklist entry records who checked it and when, so if a teammate marks something done, the rest of the team can see that instead of wondering whether it happened.
What does the 7-day history strip show?
A day-by-day count of how many daily (non-weekly) tasks were completed on each of the last 7 days, labeled Today for the current day and by weekday short-name for the rest. It's a quick visual read on whether daily discipline is slipping.
Can I access Daily Ops during my trial or while my plan is expired?
Yes, Daily Ops is one of the pages that stays reachable even in a locked billing state, so you're never cut off from your daily checklist while sorting out payment.
